Keep on keepin' on
There will always be dishes to wash, laundry to clean & fold, floors to vacuum etc. It's just part of life. We need to accept that, and learn to rejoice that there is enough food to make the dishes dirty, clothes to clean and a home to keep up.
(Same principle with work and just about anything else we can think of.)
As in our walk with God. We ALWAYS need Him, so keep praying, keep studying His Word, keep seeking Him, thanking Him, rejoicing in Him and trusting Him....
Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

The Harness
We discovered a device for our birds that would enable us to put them on a "leash" as well as control their droppings.
One day we tried the "bird diapers" on our birds. I attached the leash portion and took the birds out for a walk in the backyard to try to distract them from the feeling of the cloth on them. I noticed that even though they had significantly more freedom, all they seemed to noticed was the annoyance of the "harness". Even though having it on helped assure their protection as long as I was with them and allowed them more freedom, they hardly looked around but kept struggling with the "yoke".
I thought of how I often am like that with the Lord. He has set us free from the bondage of sin and put us under His care. But, instead of reveling in His freedom and knowing I have unfathomable blessings and power set before me in His care, I focus on what "seems" to be burdensome and restrictive, not realizing it is for my benefit, freedom and safety.
Matt 11:28-30 - Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
Trust
I often wish I could communicate with our little birds so they would better understand me....as sometimes they seem to be afraid of me.
One day I was praying and asking the Lord how can I "reach" them and help them to understand that I don't want to harm them and they can trust me?
I got the impression He was thinking "Good question!!" (As though He sometimes wonders that about us.)
Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
